Terms of Use

Last updated July 11, 2026

Killer Bourbon is a bourbon and whiskey collection manager, tasting journal, and collector community. These terms are the deal between you and us when you use the app or this site. The short version: be 21+, own your words, don't use the app to sell alcohol, and enjoy responsibly.

Who can use Killer Bourbon

You must be 21 or older to create an account. We verify your date of birth at sign-up, and we'll remove accounts that misrepresent their age. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account.

What Killer Bourbon is (and isn't)

Killer Bourbon is a tracking and journaling tool. You can catalog your collection, log tastings, share finds, and keep tabs on bottles, stores, and events. Killer Bourbon does not sell alcohol and does not process orders, payments, deliveries, or reservations for alcohol. Any purchase you make happens entirely outside the app, directly with a licensed retailer or event organizer, subject to their terms and your local laws.

Your content

Your collection, tasting notes, photos, reviews, posts, and comments are yours. So you can use the app, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and share your content — but only as the app's features and your visibility choices direct (private by default; Friends or Everyone when you choose). Contributions to the shared public catalog (like a new bottle entry or catalog photo) stay available to the community even if you later delete your account, re-attributed to a neutral system account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Community rules

Killer Bourbon works because collectors treat each other well. By using the app you agree not to:

You can report content or users from inside the app. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules — and where the law requires it, we may act without notice.

Barrel Proof subscriptions

Barrel Proof is our optional paid tier. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. Monthly and annual plans auto-renew until you cancel — manage or cancel anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; canceling stops the next renewal but doesn't refund the current period. The Founder Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-renewing purchase. Refund requests go through Apple. If prices change, Apple notifies you and existing subscriptions follow Apple's consent rules. During free or promotional periods, features we comp can change or end when the promotion does.

Our content

The Killer Bourbon name, logo, app design, and the curated catalog (excluding users' contributions) are ours and protected by intellectual-property law. Bottle and distillery names belong to their respective owners; their appearance in the catalog doesn't imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Enjoy responsibly

Killer Bourbon celebrates collecting and appreciating whiskey — not overdoing it. Nothing in the app is a recommendation about how much to drink. Please drink responsibly, never drive impaired, and if alcohol is causing problems for you or someone you love, help is available at SAMHSA's National Helpline.

Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any listing, spot, price, value estimate, or AI identification is correct. AI features can make mistakes — double-check anything that matters. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past twelve months or $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Ending things

You can stop using Killer Bourbon anytime and delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license for public catalog contributions, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we'll update this page and the date above, and note it in the app when the change matters. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.
